FAQs
How long is each session?
Every treatment is tailored to suit every individual’s specific needs. To help me plan your course of treatment I will need to understand your unique health needs. So I can accurately chart out your treatment plan, the first session is about 60-90 mins long.
All follow up appointments will last for 45-60 mins.
What will I feel during an acupuncture session?
Acupuncture is not painful. Treatment is administered using very fine needles that are about the width of a strand of hair. When the needles are inserted some patients may feel a mild tingling sensation. Sometimes people may experience very mild but fleeting pressure.
Acupuncture treatment is very soothing and relaxing and usually my patients feel energised and refreshed after treatment.
What is the cost of treatment?
Initial Consultation – £75
Follow Up Consultations – £70
What should I wear for an acupuncture session?
Please choose to wear loose comfortable clothing so they can be easily adjusted for treatment.
Will my treatment be covered by private medical insurance?
It depends on your cover. Please check with your insurance provider if they cover treatment costs.
I am happy to provide invoices and have worked with a few insurance companies for example – Axa, Bupa, Aviva to name a few.
Can I use Acupuncture and Naturopathy alongside other conventional medical treatment?
Treatments are safe to use and will not interfere with other medication and treatments. However, it is best to confer with your doctor and inform them that you will be using Acupuncture or Naturopathy to help alleviate your conditions.
I strongly advise that you continue to take any prescribed medications.
