SHONISHIN –  PAEDIATRIC ACUPUNCTURE

ABOUT SHONISHIN PAEDIATRIC ACUPUNCTURE

I had the privilege to receive my Shonishin training under the guidance of the world renowned Shonishin paediatric practitioner, Stephen Birch. Shonishin is a relaxing, non-invasive treatment that is completely safe for children of all ages.

This particular technique can also be carried out as a home therapy between sessions. Parents can learn how to carry out the treatment and reduce any symptoms their child may have. Completing the therapy before the child’s bedtime may help to calm them down and maximise the chances of a good night’s sleep .

Shonishin is the paediatric wing of acupuncture specially designed to tap into the Qi of  babies and young children. This gentle and non-needle form of therapy is a safe and soothing treatment which offers a natural way for you to care for your child.

The Qi of babies and young children is so pure it can be stimulated by using simple, blunt massage tools that can activate points by merely tapping or softly stroking their skin. Children usually instantly feel relaxed and respond positively to this pleasant and soothing experience which can help to facilitate healing and recharge their vital energy.

TESTIMONIAL

“Nadine is an excellent practitioner. She has been treating myself and my son for some time now. Her treatments are very effective indeed but equally important to me is the safe space she provides and her excellent attention to detail. I have no hesitation in recommending her to anybody seeking acupuncture.” Safa S
